Dawn Buchanan

Dawn Buchanan, PhD, is an experienced professional in the fields of education technology and project management, currently serving as an AI Mentor at Cambridge Spark since October 2025. Previously, from July 2025 to October 2025, Dawn was a Project Manager on the leadership team at Coding Black Females, focusing on initiatives to diversify the tech industry for Black women. A Delivery Lead and Agile Project Manager at Multiverse from October 2021 to April 2025, Dawn managed a team supporting over 700 apprentices across various data apprenticeship standards. Dawn's background also includes roles as a Data Coach, Cheeky Scientist Associate, and Project Manager at The University of Manchester, where significant contributions to interdisciplinary projects and stakeholder engagement were made. Dawn holds a PhD in Geomicrobiology from The University of Manchester, with a strong foundation in Earth Science.
