Andreas Aeppli

Andreas is a recognized expert in rail technology and operations, freight logistics, economics, marketing, asset management, and transportation policy. He has been involved in a broad range of assignments involving analysis of all surface modes (marine, rail, and highway), intermodal freight systems, and supply chains for public and private clients. He has extensive experience conducting policy-level statewide rail and freight planning studies, having held senior roles in developing plans for over one dozen states and regional governments. Private sector engagements include economic and market analyses for Class 1 railroads, shippers, and suppliers; analysis of public benefits from rail investment; regulatory proceedings; and, management of rolling stock assets.

Andreas takes advantage of the outdoors from his home in the Boston area whenever he can, including cycling, hiking, and skiing.
