Timur Sander

Timur Sander is a highly experienced professional in the field of synthetic and systems biology. Currently serving as the Research & Development Lead at Cambrium, Timur has extensive expertise gained from previous roles as a Senior Scientist and Project Lead at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. and a PhD Student at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology. With a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Synthetic and Systems Biology from the Max Planck Society, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Molecular Biology from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Timur possesses a strong foundational and advanced understanding of organism engineering and strain engineering.
