Alec Joubert

Alec Joubert has a wide range of experience in various roles throughout their career. Alec began their career in 1998 as a Market Risk Manager at Nedcor. Alec then moved on to Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) in 2001, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and Credit Portfolio Manager. After that, they joined Standard Bank as a Credit Portfolio Analyst and later transitioned to Kulima Integrated Development Solutions (Pty) Ltd as a Director, where they focused on climate risk management consultancy. Since 2012, Alec has been working at Camco, a climate and impact fund manager, where they have held positions such as Principal Consultant, Director, and Investment Manager. Their most recent roles at Camco include Head of Risk, Head of Compliance, and currently, Head of Operations.

Alec Joubert's education history begins in 1987, when they enrolled at the University of Cape Town. Alec pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Geography and English, and completed their studies in 1990. Following this, they attended the University of the Witwatersrand from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Climatology. In the pursuit of further expertise in the field, Alec continued their education at the same institution and completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Climatology from 1995 to 1997.
