Josie Galasso currently serves as a Victim Witness Advocate at Camden County Prosecutor's Office since November 2023. Previously, Josie coordinated the Domestic Violence Response Team at NJAC from July to September 2023. Josie has also held positions as a Peer Leader at University of South Carolina from August 2021 to May 2023, an intern in the Major Crimes Unit at Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office during summer 2022, and a mentor at New Bridge Academy within Lexington School District Two from December 2021 to May 2022. Furthermore, Josie interned in the Juvenile Arbitration Program for the County of Lexington, SC, from September 2021 to May 2022 and worked as an intern for Special Investigations & Internal Affairs at Gloucester County Sheriff's Office from June to August 2021. Josie's early career includes experience as a hostess at PJW Restaurant Group from August 2018 to August 2019. Josie holds a double major in Criminal Justice and Women and Gender Studies from the University of South Carolina, where studies were completed in May 2023, alongside completing education at Paul VI High School in June 2019.

Camden County Prosecutor's Office

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office oversees and coordinates enforcement of New Jersey’s criminal laws in the County of Camden. While the office’s budget is provided by the county freeholders, the Prosecutor is appointed by the Governor and answers to the state Attorney General. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is the second busiest in the state, receiving from the county’s 37 municipalities approximately 10,500 cases annually, 5,500 of which are indicted. The Prosecutor’s Office partners with local, state and federal authorities to ensure the entire spectrum of criminal activity in the region, from shoplifting rings to murders to international narcotics trafficking organizations, is addressed uniformly and justly.
