Mark R. (Randy) Kinnick has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mark R. (Randy) began their career as a Writer at Randall House Publications in 1985, where they worked until 2007. Kinnick also served as a Minister at the National Association of Free Will Baptists starting in 1983.

In 1999, they became the Senior Pastor at Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church, where they stayed until 2009. During this time, Kinnick also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Austin Peay State University in 2009.

From 2000 to 2009, Kinnick worked as a Volunteer Chaplain at Gateway Medical Center, providing counseling, prayer, and spiritual support to staff and patients.

In 2007, they became a Member of the Tennessee State Association of Free Will Baptists, and from 2007 to 2008, they served as an Online Christian Service Director at Welch College. At the same college, Kinnick was also an Adjunct Faculty from 2007 to 2017.

In their most recent work experience, Kinnick worked at Camelot Care Centers, LLC, where they held several roles. Mark R. (Randy) was an In-Home Therapist (Mental Health) from 2018 to 2018, a Lead Therapist from 2018 to 2021, an Assistant Director of Foster Care from 2021 to 2021, and a Program Director - Therapeutic Foster Care, Mid-North Region from 2021 to 2024. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Coaching and Team Support at the same company.

Mark R. (Randy) Kinnick holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Counseling, which they obtained from William & Mary between the years 1986 and 1995. Mark R. (Randy) also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bible, C.E. & Music, acquired from Welch College from 1979 to 1983. Prior to that, in 1978 to 1979, they attended East Tennessee State University, where they pursued Drafting and Design Technology/Technician, but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, Kinnick has obtained certifications such as Master Certified Professional Coach and Certified Professional Life Coach from Certified Life Coach Institute in 2023, Round Table Leadership Training from Camelot Care Centers, Inc. in 2019, and an ACSI Teaching Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International in August 1992. Mark R. (Randy) also holds an ETTA- Teacher's Diploma from Evangelical Teacher Training Association, obtained in 1983.
