Marko Sijakovic

Marko Sijakovic, CFA, is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in commercial real estate syndications and mortgage banking. Currently serving as the Director of Syndications and Mortgage Banking at Laurentian Bank of Canada since July 2015, Marko specializes in commercial real estate syndications, secondary market transactions, and mezzanine lending. Prior roles at Laurentian Bank include Senior Manager for Mortgage Banking and Syndications, where responsibilities included syndication and portfolio acquisitions/dispositions, and Portfolio Manager, focusing on secondary market transactions and asset valuation. Marko's prior experience as a Senior Underwriter at GE Capital Real Estate involved underwriting across various asset classes, coupled with exposure to Argus Enterprise. Marko holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Ryerson University and completed education through the Canadian Securities Institute in 2010.
