Jeff Freeman

VP, Corporate Strategy & Government Program at Camgian Microsystems

Jeff Freeman is the Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Government Programs for Camgian Microsystems and is responsible for the Defense and Federal government, commercial/industrial, and international markets. He recently joined Camgian after having served as the VP Business Development for Fincantieri Marine Group and Fincantieri Marine Systems, U.S. subsidiaries of Fincantieri S.p.A., the largest shipbuilder in the western world with 20 shipyards on four continents. Jeff was instrumental in significant business captures, including, Navy Littoral Combat Ship Sustainment Execution Contract, establishment of a new repair shipyard in Jacksonville, FL, and award of numerous concept and preliminary design contracts for the Navy and USCG. Prior to Fincantieri, Jeff was the Vice President for Homeland Security Programs at Leonardo DRS Technologies where he was instrumental in the company’s successful pursuit on the DHS Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Secure Border Initiative Network (SBInet) along with other successful company significant initiatives with the USCG, including the C-130 Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) contract.

Before joining DRS, Jeff completed a successful 20-year career in the Navy flying the P-3 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft, serving in four different patrol squadrons flying over 3,500 hours and was the VP/GM of his last command. Jeff also completed three tours of duty at the Pentagon on the Navy Staff, Naval Military Personnel Command, and Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also had the privilege of serving as a Defense Legislative Fellow for U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) and completed his career working on the staff of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management & Comptroller (ASN FM&C), Appropriation Liaison Office.

Jeff is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (B.S. Mathematics/Operations Research) and achieved higher-level education including: Masters of Business Administration Degree (Financial Management) from Marymount University; National Security Studies Graduate Certificate from the Naval War College; and a Legislative Fellowship Certificate from Georgetown University.
