Ivar Chan

Ivar Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Ivar is currently working as the CTO at Camino Robotics since 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Engineering at Specright, Inc. from 2017 to 2018. At Specright, Ivar led the engineering team, developed Salesforce solutions, and collaborated with sales and customer success teams to improve customer satisfaction.

From 2015 to 2017, Ivar worked at Kik Interactive, Inc. as the Bot Platform Partnerships Manager. Ivar partnered with top-tier companies such as Microsoft, Slack, and Yahoo, and designed chatbot cloud solutions on their preferred platforms.

Ivar also has experience as a CEO at GameMix, where they focused on creating an innovative gaming experience and developed backend infrastructure on AWS. Ivar successfully formed partnerships with HTML5 game developers and managed fundraising efforts.

As the Director of Mobile Engineering at UberMedia from 2011 to 2013, Ivar led teams of mobile and server-side developers and played a crucial role in architecting data and monitoring systems on AWS.

Before that, they served as a technical advisor at crowdfunder.com in 2012. Ivar also held positions at Trailer Park, Earthlink, Weider Publications, and MindArrow, where they gained expertise in various roles such as director of product development, team lead, and senior systems analyst.

Throughout their career, Ivar has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills, successfully managing teams, developing innovative solutions, and forming strategic partnerships.

Ivar Chan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, which they attended from 1995 to 2000.
