Ebon Freeman-James

Secretary at Camp Corral

Ebon Freeman-James is a proud military spouse of an Air Force Reservist (formally active duty), daughter of a retired Army soldier, daughter-in-law of a Marine, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mother of young two children. Ebon live in Fayetteville, NC where she serve on the advisory board of the local National Association of Social Workers’ program unit. It is also her pleasure to serve as a member of the UNC School of Social Work’s Board of Advisors, president of the Parent Education Partnership at her daughter's school, Girl Scout leader and community volunteer. During her career as a social worker she specialized in palliative and hospice care with families and children, worked in trauma and served as a therapeutic camp counselor for Camp Lighthouse, a camp for children who experienced the death of a loved one.

Ebon is very excited about this opportunity to provide a unique perspective as a military spouse, parent and social worker with a heart for children and those who experience grief and loss. Camp Corral is an extraordinary organization with an incredible mission that she wholeheartedly endorse and am proud to play a small role in advancing.
