Greg Harris has extensive experience in Jewish leadership and community engagement. Since 2018, Greg has served as a Board Member at Camp Ramah In New England. As Head Rabbi and previously Rabbi at Congregation Beth El since August 2002, Greg has demonstrated a commitment to spiritual leadership. Previous roles include Chair of the Pastoral Care Committee at Charles E. Smith Life Communities (2010-2019) and Board Member positions at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (2012-2018) and Interfaith Works (2012-2015). Greg also served as President of the Washington Board of Rabbis from June 2010 to June 2012 and Chaplain at Momentum AIDS Project from 2000 to 2002. Greg's early career includes the role of Executive Director at Project Judaica Foundation and Associate Coordinator at the Council of Jewish Federations. Academic qualifications include Rabbinic Ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the School of Enterprise Management and Social Impact, along with a BA in Political Science from American University.
