Simrin Kapoor has been working in the field of research since 2018. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher in Dr. Kapil Juvale Lab at SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). During this time, they worked on a project for discovering drugs acting on IMPDH to inhibit its activity for treating cancer. Simrin also prepared intermediate compounds and identified the true nature and molecular mass of the chemical entity through LCMS. Additionally, they completed an internship at Franco-Indian Pharmaceutical Private Limited, where they developed understanding of manufacturing of topical preparation and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient and performed analytical tests.
In 2020, Kapoor began working as a Graduate Student Researcher at Northeastern University. The following year, they joined CAMP4 Therapeutics as a Research Associate, Discovery (Co-Op). Simrin then became a Research Associate II and Senior Research Associate at the same company.
Simrin Kapoor obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) between 2015 and 2019. Simrin then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University, which they are currently completing in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications in 2020: Basics of CRISPR/Cas9 from The Jackson Laboratory in July, MATLAB for Data Processing and Visualization from MathWorks in June, and MATLAB Fundamentals from MathWorks in May.
