Clay Perfall

Clay Perfall has over thirty years of experience acquiring and building services companies, including extensive experience executing industry consolidations. Mr. Perfall currently serves as an Operating Executive to Tailwind Capital. Tailwind is a leading private equity firm focused on growth-oriented investments in the lower end of the middle market in the healthcare, business and communications services sectors. Tailwind manages more than $3 billion of committed equity capital. He previously served as the Chairman and CEO of Archway Marketing Services, a leading provider of marketing logistics services and a portfolio company of Tailwind Capital. Under his leadership Archway quintupled revenue and was recognized by the Inc. 5000 as one of America’s fastest growing private companies for five consecutive years. Previously, Mr. Perfall served as Director and CEO of AHL Services (NASDAQ:AHLS) and Director and CFO of Snyder Communications (NYSE:SNC). During his tenure, Snyder Communications grew revenue ten-fold to over $1B and was sold for $2.1B. Mr. Perfall began his career at Arthur Andersen where he was admitted as a partner.

Mr. Perfall currently serves as Non-executive Chairman of two Tailwind Capital portfolio companies, Diversified (www.DiversifiedUS.com) and PremierXD (www.PremierXD.com). He also serves as Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Colfax Corporation (NYSE:CFX). Mr. Perfall served as a Director of ReTrans, Inc., a logistics management provider controlled by Tailwind Capital, from 2012 through its sale in 2015. Mr. Perfall also served as Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of InVentiv Health (NASDAQ:VTIV) from its formation in 1999 until its sale for $1.2B in 2010.

Mr. Perfall is as a member of the Board of Governors of St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School. He previously served as Chair of the Board of Governors for the five years ending in June of 2016. Mr. Perfall also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Campagna Center. He is a graduate of the College of William & Mary where he served as a Trustee of the Mason School of Business Foundation.
