Reynard Anderson has served children and families for the last twenty years with over seventeen of those years dedicated to the Washington, DC metropolitan region. As an advocate for children and families, he believes that all youth should have access to quality education, enrichment activities and family supports in order to thrive in life and contribute to their community.
Most recently, Dr. Anderson served as Vice President of Operations and Youth Development with the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, where he led thirteen early learning centers and over fifty school age program sites through community, county, state, and federal partnerships. He has dedicated his life’s work to improving early childhood development and school age child care for those whose needs are unmet. Dr. Anderson has been honored by the Council for Opportunity in Education for his work to support federal TRIO Programs and higher education access to first-generation college students.
