Ray Pollum began their work experience in 2010 as a Conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad. In 2011, they joined Campbell Transportation Company, Inc. as a Senior Logistics Coordinator. Ray later worked their way up to Manager - Lower Ohio & Third Party Towing, where they were responsible for supporting, growing, and improving the efficiency of CTC's Third Party towing Services, managing CTC's Logistics activities on the lower Ohio and Mississippi River system, and assisting in costing and Operations Analysis. From 2017 to 2020, they served as a Senior Manager of Logistics, and from 2020 to 2023, they held the position of Director Of Logistics. Currently, Ray holds the position of Managing Director of Logistics at Campbell Transportation Company, Inc.

Ray Pollum attended Youngstown State University from 2005 to 2007, although the specific degree or field of study is unknown. Ray then enrolled at PennWest Clarion, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from 2007 to 2009. Ray continued their education at PennWest Clarion, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration and Management, General from 2008 to 2010.
