Teresa Pais has extensive experience in the field of regulatory affairs and food safety. Their most recent role was as the Head of Global Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs at Campden BRI, where they led two sections and managed a team of 20 Food Law Advisors and 10 Safety and Quality experts. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Regulatory Affairs - International Business at Tata Consumer Products, providing support and expert advice on product labelling, advertising, and claim strategy. Teresa has also held managerial positions at Premier Foods, Britvic Soft Drinks, and Siemens Healthcare, where they specialized in international regulatory affairs. Additionally, they have experience in New Product Development and regulatory compliance coordination at The Topps Company and Herbalife. Teresa began their career as an intern research assistant at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, working on a research project related to the enzymatic determination of ethanol in wine. Teresa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles in the regulatory field.
Teresa Pais attended The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2020, where they completed the 35th Tata Group eMerging Leadership Seminar. In 2007-2008, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Food Safety & Control at London South Bank University. Earlier, from 2001 to 2006, Teresa obtained a BSc in Engenharia Alimentar (Food Engineering) from Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
