Jean Peeters

Jean Peeters currently serves as the Titulaire de la chaire IHEDN "Cyber et souveraineté numérique" at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale since September 2020, focusing on enhancing France's strategic interests in digital sovereignty amid increasing cyber threats. In addition, Jean Peeters is the project leader for the CYBERUS Erasmus Mundus joint master in cybersecurity at Université Bretagne Sud, and holds multiple leadership positions including President of the university from 2012 to 2020, and President of the council of the Campus Franco-Sénégalais since December 2020, appointed by Senegalese President Macky SALL. Jean Peeters has also held various roles related to international cooperation in higher education, serving as Vice-président de la commission des relations internationales at the Conférence des présidents d'université and President of the Conseil Franco-Québécois de Coopération Universitaire. Academically, Jean Peeters holds multiple degrees and qualifications, including a Doctorate in language sciences and an HDR from Université Rennes 2.
