Karen Knight

Karen Knight has a diverse work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Karen is currently employed as a Business System Analyst at CampusWorks, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Analyst at OnlineMedEd from July 2021. Karen also had a brief period of actively looking for opportunities in early 2021 before joining OnlineMedEd.

From 2016 to 2021, Karen worked at OSIS, firstly as a Senior Developer, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of custom solutions for Nextgen clients, as well as creating internal development tools, client upgrade assistance, training, and documentation. Karen then transitioned into the role of a Product Manager, managing the full life cycle of projects from feasibility analysis to migration support.

Before joining OSIS, Karen held the position of a Senior Development Analyst at Path Forward from July 2012 to September 2015. Here, they managed the implementation lifecycle of software development projects, including requirements gathering, documentation, application design, process improvement, solution build, training, go-live, production support, staffing management, data analytics, and reporting.

Prior to that, Karen worked as a Template Developer/Coordinator at Hanger Orthopedics from August 2011 to July 2012. In this role, they coordinated the design, development, testing, and documentation of custom templates for a large-scale Nextgen application.

At Path.Forward.IT, Karen served as a Senior Application Specialist from May 2008 to July 2011. Karen'sresponsibilities included development, training, integration, support, and upgrades for multiple Nextgen clients in various medical practices, gaining extensive knowledge of several Nextgen modules.

Karen's earlier experience includes working as a Technical Developer at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas in 2006, where they focused on developing the GUI front end for a legacy mainframe system using VB.NET and Natural programs.

Karen Knight earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from Trinity University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Later, in 1992 to 1994, Karen pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services at Texas State University.
