CTO at Camus Energy

Cody Smith is the CTO at Camus Energy and has been in the tech industry for over 15 years. Cody started their career at Google as a Principal Systems Engineer and was responsible for org-level technical leadership for Site Reliability. Cody was also the primary oncall and team lead for Google Search, plus projects in internal infrastructure (networking, storage, compute, and security) and Google Cloud, including monitoring, load balancing, SLOs, system resilience, capacity provisioning, network encryption, change validation, and system simplification.

In November 2013, Smith took on the role of Pit Boss at HealthCare.gov. In this role, they led the Exchange Operations Center (XOC) during the end of the first open enrollment period. The objective was to kept the site as stable as possible, to maximize successful enrollments prior to the deadline.

Smith has been with Camus Energy since December 2018 and has been instrumental in helping the company grow and scale its operations. Cody is a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a passion for problem-solving and delivering results.

Cody Smith has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley in Mathematics and Computer Science.
