Peter Griess

Peter Griess has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Peter started their career at Network Appliance as a Member of Technical Staff, where they worked on backend file locking and FlexCache. Peter then joined Xoopit as the Lead Engineer, where they were responsible for the technical direction and architecture of backend services. At Yahoo!, Peter served as the Manager of Yahoo! Mail and later as a Principal Engineer, contributing to NodeJS development and managing integrations. During their tenure at Facebook, Peter held multiple roles, including Technical Lead/Manager, Technical Lead, and Software Engineer. Peter worked on various projects such as building networking systems for social VR, developing video delivery protocols, and implementing network backends for social presence. Most recently, Peter worked as a Software Engineer at Block Party, where they stood up a product analytics system. Peter is currently with Camus Energy as a Software Engineer.

Peter Griess attended Brown University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Sc.B. degree in Computer Science.
