Jos Bastiaens

Jos Bastiaens, PhD, currently serves as the Innovation and R&D Director at CANPACK S.A., where responsibilities include defining and executing the R&D and Innovation strategy for the Material Science Division, focusing on innovative packaging solutions for the beverage and food & industrial can sectors. Prior to this, Jos Bastiaens held senior roles at Celanese, including Technology & Innovation Senior Director, where efforts centered around implementing technology and innovation strategies for engineered materials, and Technology and Innovation Manager, driving product innovation in EMEA. Earlier experience at SABIC Innovative Plastics included positions as Global Technology Manager and Commercialization Leader. Jos Bastiaens holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from KU Leuven, a Post-Doc from the University of Groningen, a Master’s degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hasselt University.
