Tim Shannon

Dr. Tim Shannon is a General Partner at Canaan Partners, a venture capital firm. Prior to joining Canaan, they were the President and CEO of CuraGen Corporation from 2002 to 2009. From 1992 to 2002, Dr. Shannon served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Bayer HealthCare. Tim has also held various positions at Cambridge Biotech Corporation, Genzyme Corporation, and Genetics Institute. Dr. Shannon received their B.S. in Biology from the University of Notre Dame and their M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Tim Shannon has a BA in Chemistry from Amherst College and a degree from The University of Connecticut Health Center.
