Daniel Chung

Daniel Chung's work experience begins in 2002 at CIBC Mellon, where they worked as a Fund Administrator until 2004. Daniel then joined Citco INC as an Accountant, responsible for reporting on a hedge fund and improving accounting processes.

In 2006, Chung became a Corporate Accountant at Equitable Bank, managing day-to-day accounting functions and providing financial analysis to senior executives. Daniel worked there until 2008.

From 2008 to 2012, Chung worked at Macquarie Capital Markets North America Ltd as an Executive in Product Control/Legal Entity Finance. In this role, they handled regulatory filings, accounting, and reporting for the Canada Brokerage business and Proprietary Trading desk.

At Macquarie Group from 2012 to 2016, Chung held two roles: Assistant Vice President in Business Performance, where they analyzed and improved commercial profitability, and Assistant Vice President in Financial Control/Management Reporting, where they ensured financial data integrity and reviewed regional hedging processes.

In the same year, Chung took on the role of Vice President of Finance - Business Analysis & Strategy Development at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. Daniel contributed to the financial analysis and strategy development of the company until 2021.

From 2021 to the present, Chung has been the Chief Financial Officer at Canaccord Genuity G Ventures Corp.

Most recently, in November 2021, Chung became the Director and Head of Business Management for Capital Markets in Canada at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc.

Daniel Chung attended the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
