Vanessa Williams

Vanessa Williams has a diverse work experience in various industries. Vanessa is currently serving as a Senior Litigation Counsel at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Legal Counsel at BC Financial Services Authority from October 2021 to May 2022.

Previously, Vanessa worked at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Vanessa held the position of Associate from June 2019 to October 2021 and from July 2017 to June 2019. Before becoming an associate, they served as a Student-at-Law from June 2016 to June 2017.

Earlier in their career, Vanessa gained experience in the sports industry as the Manager of Sales & Promotions at Vancouver Canadians Professional Baseball Club from April 2011 to August 2013.

Vanessa Williams pursued their higher education from various institutions. In 2005, they enrolled at Furman University, where they studied Political Science for a duration of two years, until 2007. Following this, they attended The University of British Columbia from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Political Science. Later, they went on to study at the University of Saskatchewan from 2013 to 2016, obtaining a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Vanessa Williams has also earned a certification as a "Member in Good Standing" from the Law Society of British Columbia in July 2019.
