Declan Deery

Declan Deery (ACA) currently serves as the Head of Non Financial Risk and Governance at Canada Life Assurance Europe plc, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, an extensive tenure at Irish Life spanned from January 2013 to September 2023, during which Declan held various titles including Senior Risk and Compliance Manager for Exo and Digital, Executive Manager of Internal Audit, and several other managerial positions within Internal Audit. Earlier career experience includes a role as Senior Associate at KPMG in Ireland from September 2008 to April 2012 and as a Trainee Accountant at Irish Life & Permanent from October 2007 to August 2008. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, along with chartered accountancy qualifications obtained from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
