Canada North Environmental Services (CanNorth) provides a full range of environmental services and is 100% First Nations owned by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Saskatchewan’s largest band. They provide a full range of environmental services through their aquatic, terrestrial, heritage/archaeology, hydrology, geomatics, and human health and ecological risk assessment divisions. In addition, CanNorth is well known for its liaison roles with community engagement and relationship building between Indigenous groups/ local communities and proponents. Projects are undertaken using defensible environmental study design, state-of-the-art technology for analyses, evaluation, and problem-solving, and emphasize local Aboriginal (indigenous) participation.
