Academic Principal at Canada's National Ballet School

Betti Adams has extensive work experience in the education sector. Betti is currently working as the Academic Principal at Canada's National Ballet School since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Part-time Principal at the Waterloo Region District School Board and a Field Supervisor at Wilfred Laurier Faculty of Education, starting in 2017. Betti's career in education began in 1987 at the Waterloo Region District School Board, where they held various roles including Principal, responsible for elementary schools from JK to Gr. 8, and Elementary School Teacher specializing in Special Education and Physical Education. Additionally, they worked as a Course Instructor for Special Education at Nipissing University from 2005 to 2015, where they developed and taught modules for qualified teachers at the post-graduate level.

Betti Adams holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario, which was earned from 1986 to 1987. Betti also completed a Master of Education in Leadership from Charles Sturt University, studying from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo from 1982 to 1986. Betti has also completed the Ontario Principal Qualifications program in 2001. Lastly, in 2015 they acquired Educational Supervisory Qualifications, specializing in Ontario Education: Senior Leadership Training.
