Martin Abel

Martin Abel, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Martin has held various senior financial roles in notable organizations. From 2020 to present, they have worked at Canada's National Ballet School as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, they served as a Strategic Advisor for the same organization from 2019 to 2020. From 2014 to 2018, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Canada's National Ballet School. Before joining the National Ballet School, Martin worked as an Interim Director of Finance at Canada's National Ballet School from 2013 to 2014. Martin Abel founded Centreline Management in 2009, where they currently serve as the Principal. Martin held the role of Interim CFO at PTC Accounting & Finance from 2012 to 2017. Martin has also held various executive positions, including CFO, at organizations such as Toronto International Film Festival, CentrSource Corp., Fireworks Entertainment Inc., Rogers iMedia Inc., Look Communications, YTV Canada Inc., and CUC Broadcasting Limited.

Martin Abel, CPA, CA completed their education at various institutions. Martin attended Richview Collegiate Institute from 1969 to 1974, where they pursued their high school education. Martin later went on to study at the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce and Social Psychology in 1977. In 1982, Martin obtained their CPA, CA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Finally, in 2016, they enrolled at the Ivey Business School at Western University, where they pursued studies in CommunityShift.
