Bridget Carey

Associate Director, Hospital Experience at Canadian Blood Services

Bridget Carey has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Bridget started their career as an HR Training Specialist at Semiconductor Insights in 1997 and later took on roles as Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager. In 2009, they worked as a Senior Advisor at the Canadian Electricity Association. From 2011 to 2013, Bridget owned SolARC, a company that provided solar photovoltaic systems. Bridget also worked as a Senior Consultant at A Hundred Answers, where they led various projects in health and government sectors. At The Ottawa Hospital, Bridget managed performance measurement and project management initiatives. Bridget then joined Canadian Blood Services as a Business Relationship Manager and later became the Manager and Associate Director of Hospital Experience. Additionally, Bridget owned and served as the Chief Financial Officer of Nita Beer Company. Their experience includes roles in business management, project management, business analysis, and performance measurement.

Bridget Carey attended McMaster University from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a B. Eng. Mgmt degree in Engineering Physics and Management. Bridget also completed the Certified Management Accountants program. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) from CPA Ontario in 2015, Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) from Professional Engineers Ontario in 2007, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute.
