Mark Johnston has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Mark started their career as a Supply Chain Analyst at Canadian Tire in 2002 and worked there until 2005. Mark then moved on to work at Biovectra Inc as a Supply Chain Manager from 2005 to 2007. After that, they joined Cavendish Farms as a Supply Chain Planning Manager from 2007 to 2009. Mark then worked at Canada Post / Postes Canada as an Officer of Industrial Engineering Projects from 2009 to 2012, and later as a Specialist in National Network Design from 2012 to 2016. Currently, they are employed at Canadian Blood Services, where they have held several positions including Continuous Improvement Manager, Supply Chain from 2016 to 2020; Associate Director of Continuous Improvement from 2020 to 2022; and currently holds the role of Associate Director of Quality Management Processes.

Mark Johnston completed their Engineering Diploma at the University of Prince Edward Island from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002, they attended Dalhousie University and obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering.
