Shannon Purdy

Shannon Purdy has over 24 years of experience in IT management, primarily with Canadian Blood Services since October 1999, where responsibilities have included overseeing IT end point computing, supply chain services, and clinic services within automated blood collection systems. Key achievements include leading significant IT infrastructure initiatives, managing a large fleet of end-user devices, implementing a national service desk model recognized at national and international conferences, and fostering effective communication and project management skills. Prior experiences at MCI WorldCom and SHL Systemhouse/EDS included leadership roles in team performance management and customer service excellence. Shannon holds a BA in Sociology/Social Work from Carleton University and a Technology Specialist degree in Information Technology from Netvision.
