Cody Lewis

Associate, Public Policy at Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business

Cody first started at CCAB as a summer student in 2021, while studying Political Science at York University. He has since completed his degree, receiving The Ellen Baar Award for contributions to public policy and an honourable mention for the Student Writing Award in the process, and has joined CCAB on a full-time basis.

As a Research Coordinator, Cody played a pivotal role in the development of CCAB’s Master Business List of over 25,000 Indigenous-owned businesses, co-authored and assisted in developing several research reports, and organized CCAB’s first-ever Indigenous Intellectual Property Roundtable.

Since his promotion to Public Policy associate, Cody has been actively involved in the development of several trade and export-themed reports, as well as policy briefs to advocate for CCAB’s findings on Indigenous procurement and intellectual property. Cody also represents CCAB on several Indigenous advisory committees and in engagements with international partners.
