Maesynne Walsh is a recent graduate from the University of Guelph, where she completed a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Maesynne is of Ojibwe heritage from Beausoleil First Nations on Christian Island. Born and raised in Simcoe County, Maesynne now resides in the heart of downtown Toronto to pursue her career goals. From her heritage and university career, Maesynne developed passions for law, public policy, Indigenous studies and gender studies. These passions have led her to pursue a career in the fields of research and public policy. In her spare time, Maesynne enjoys yoga, being active in the great outdoors, reading specifically biographies and staying in touch with her artistic side through drawing and painting.
With previous experience and applicable skills learnt from her time at university, Maesynne is excited to fulfil the role of research coordinator with the CCAB.
