George Kormas has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as President at the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) since March 2011, previously holding the position of Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at both CDCC and the Canadian Depository for Securities from September 2016 to April 2021. Prior to roles at CDCC, George Kormas worked at the Bourse de Montréal as Director of Business Development from 2001 to February 2011 and at the National Bank of Canada as Section Manager of Market Risk Management from 1998 to 2000. George Kormas holds a Master of Science in Finance from Concordia University, obtained between 1993 and 1995.
