Ana Serrano

Ana Serrano is the current director at the Canadian Film Centre. Ana has held this position since 2011 and is responsible for the organization's digital transformation roadmap. This includes formulating the digital strategy across all of the CFC program offerings, designing and developing the CFC's cloud-based operations infrastructure, and leading the CFC's innovation space - CFC Media Lab.

Prior to their current role, Ana was with OCAD University as their Chief Digital Officer. In this role, they were responsible for the creation of Canada's first digital entertainment accelerator, called IDEABOOST. Ana also designed and developed the Online Originals Talent & Product acceleration strategy, which included the development of Canada's first YouTube Festival Industry Conference called Buffer Industry Day.

Ana has a long history of working in digital media and technology. Ana has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Toronto.

Ana Serrano has an Honors BA in English Literature from McGill University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in School of Architecture: Information Technology and Design from the University of Toronto.
