Chief Medical Officer at Canadian Football League

Dhiren Naidu has a diverse work experience in the field of sports medicine and healthcare. Dhiren is currently working as the Chief Medical Officer for the Canadian Football League since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta starting from July 2006. Dhiren also held the position of Head Team Physician for both the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and the Edmonton Elks, starting in September 2005 and June 2005 respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Sport Medicine Physician at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic starting in July 2004. In November 2007, Dhiren Naidu co-founded and served as the President of healthpointe medical centres until February 2021.

Dhiren Naidu completed their education in a chronological order. Dhiren first attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a field of study in Medicine. Dhiren then pursued further education at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta from 1999 to 2004, specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Lastly, from 2004 to 2006, they attended the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine, earning a Diploma of Sport Medicine.
