Valarie Wafer has extensive experience in leadership and governance across various sectors. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Canadian Hearing Services since March 2023, Valarie has held multiple significant positions within Rotary International, including Chair of the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee and Vice President. Valarie was also a Rotary International Director from 2020 to 2022 and served as District Governor in 2013-2014. Additional board experience includes membership on the Board of Trustees at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and the Board of Governors at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Valarie's background in business includes owning and operating a Tim Hortons franchise for over two decades and previous roles in accounting and administration at Tim Hortons and Smurfit-MBI.
