Avril Robinson

Avril Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Avril currently works at CIFAR as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Project Coordinator. Prior to that, they were an Executive Assistant at the Ontario Medical Association and Prostate Cancer Canada.

In their role at Prostate Cancer Canada, they provided temporary support to assist the CEO and VP during the organization's amalgamation with the Canadian Cancer Society.

Before that, Avril worked at Heart and Stroke as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of National Development. Avril was responsible for calendar management, event planning, and serving as a liaison between departments.

Avril also has experience as a Project Coordinator at the Technical Standards & Safety Authority, where they coordinated project activities and trained to utilize Confluence for gathering reports.

In addition, Avril has worked as a Project and Outreach Assistant at the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network, a Merchant Administrative Coordinator at Sekure Merchant Solutions, and a Founder of a Traditional Herbal Medicine clinic and apothecary.

Avril began their career as a Green Initiatives Project Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at Exhibition Place, supporting the organization's environmental initiatives. Avril also worked as a Project Coordinator and Executive Administrative Assistant at Dowling Community Service Residence, where they were involved in advocacy and securing research initiatives.

Avril Robinson has a B.A in Development & International Studies, Anthropology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Avril also holds a Diploma in Traditional Eastern Medicine from the Institute of Traditional Medicine, and a Diploma in Small Business Entrepreneurship from the Toronto Business Development Centre. Additionally, Avril has undergone training in Clinical Herbal Medicine at the Dominion Herbal College. In 2013-2014, they pursued Intermediate French studies at Centre Saint Louis, specializing in French Language and Literature.
