Karen Weir

Karen Weir is an experienced program lead with a strong background in health services management. Currently at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) since September 2009, Weir leads corporate operational planning, implements performance measurement frameworks, facilitates Lean initiatives, and excels in team management within a matrix environment. Previously, Weir held roles as Program Lead for the Canadian Population Health Initiative and as Program Manager at the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health, overseeing diverse health-related projects. In earlier positions, Weir worked as a Project Manager at the Canadian Pharmacists Association, leading national health initiatives across various topics. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Health Services Management from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo.
