Réal Cloutier

Mr. Réal Cloutier is 1 of 2 members representing the Prairies (Region 2) on CIHI’s Board of Directors. Mr. Cloutier was president and CEO of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, and had previously served as its vice president and chief operating officer. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Cloutier has had leadership roles in Manitoba’s department of health, and in the areas of acute care, long-term care and community care. Mr. Cloutier holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a certificate in University Studies in Theology from the University of Ottawa–Saint Paul University. After his graduate studies, Mr. Cloutier served for 1 year in Manitoba’s Legislative Internship Program. Mr. Cloutier has a strong affinity with the province of Manitoba and has a deep understanding and appreciation of the province’s history and people. He has served in several volunteer capacities over the years to support the province.
