Amy Lang

Amy Lang has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amy'smost recent position is as the Executive Director of Patient Oriented Research at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Before that, they worked at Ontario Health, first as a Strategic Advisor for Patient and Community Engagement and then as a Director of Stakeholder Engagement. Prior to their time at Ontario Health, Amy held the position of Director of Patient and Public Partnering at Health Quality Ontario. Amy also has experience working in the public sector as a Senior Corporate Management and Policy Consultant for the City of Toronto. In addition, Amy has worked in academia as a Program Manager, Instructor, and Programming Consultant at Simon Fraser University and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia. Amy has also served as an Independent Consultant for the City of Victoria BC and as a Board Member for the Canadian Community for Dialogue and Deliberation.

Amy Lang's education history includes a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Sociology from McGill University, which they completed between 1994 and 2000. Amy later pursued a PhD in Sociology and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating between 2001 and 2007.
