Jennifer Raven

Jennifer Raven has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Jennifer currently works at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research as the A/Deputy Director, Science Policy, a role they have held since May 2021. Prior to this, they were a Project Lead for Major Initiatives at the same organization from September 2019 to May 2021.

Before joining the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Jennifer worked at the Public Health Agency of Canada as a Senior Advisor for International Initiatives with the AMR Task Team from September 2016 to September 2019.

Jennifer also has previous experience at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where they held various roles including Project Lead for Major Initiatives, Manager for Recruitment, Education, and Mentoring, Senior Advisor for Knowledge Translation Strategy, and Assistant Director for the Institute of Infection and Immunity.

Jennifer's earlier work experience includes roles as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Jewish General Hospital, a Molecular Biology Technician at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, a Research Student at the University of Waterloo, and a Research Student at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Jennifer also worked as an Analytical Chemist at Health Canada.

Jennifer Raven completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Co-operative Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo, which they attended from 1998 to 2003. Jennifer then pursued further education at McGill University, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from 2003 to 2009.
