Shaji Kangapadan

Shaji Kangapadan is the Program Manager at Canadian Lutheran World Relief. Prior to this, they worked as the Program Coordinator - Canadian Jesuits International with Jesuits in English Canada from May 2011 to July 2014. In this role, they supported the development and emergency programs in the global south. Shaji also has experience as a Diversity Fellow 2011 with CivicAction from January 2011 to December 2011, where they participated in a leadership development program with city leaders from various sectors. In their previous role as Manager Community Partnerships with Evergreen Canada from January 2010 to April 2011, they were responsible for developing a community engagement strategy, building partnerships with residents of high-need neighbourhoods, and developing educational and recreational programs on environmental themes for new Canadians and diverse communities.

Shaji Kangapadan has a Masters in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics and a certificate in Canadian Social Work Practice from Ryerson University.

Shaji Kangapadan reports to Jason Carkner, Director, Programs. They work with Isaac Bayor - Senior Policy Analyst, Kendelle Romero-Fawcett - Program Manager, and Kristy Bergman Schroeder - Program Manager.
