Chandra Erlendson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in Indigenous relations and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Indigenous Relations & Community Engagement at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights since February 2012. A proud Saulteux-Métis woman, Chandra has a strong commitment to preserving Indigenous rights and culture, having also held the position of Manager of Public Programs where leadership in diverse program development and delivery was demonstrated. Prior roles include Director of Education and Public Programs at Homer Watson House & Gallery, Educator & Program Coordinator with responsibilities for educational program development, and an Educational Assistant at Turtle River School Division. Early career experience includes customer service roles at Canada Post. Chandra holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and History from The University of Winnipeg and the University of Toronto, supplemented by education at Université de Saint-Boniface.
