Isha Khan

President and Chief Executive Officer at Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Isha Khan has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Isha began their career as an Associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) in 1999 and served in that role until 2007. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as the Director of Organizational Development at United Way Winnipeg. Isha then joined the Manitoba Human Rights Commission in 2010, first as a Legal Counsel until 2015, and later as the Executive Director & Senior Counsel until 2019. In 2019, they took on a role as a Senior Independent External Decision Maker with the Government of Canada - Ministerial Appointment, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, which they held until 2020. Currently, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, a position they assumed in August 2020.

Isha Khan completed a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Victoria from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, Isha Khan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) from the University of Manitoba from 1991 to 1994, with a focus on Philosophy and Religious Studies.
