Tanya Anderson

Tanya Anderson is an experienced Advisor specializing in Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Canadian Museum of History since October 2014. In previous roles, Tanya led a multidisciplinary team at the museum as the Manager of Resource Centre and Copyright Services, focusing on digital access and ethical usage of collections, particularly Indigenous collections. Tanya has a proven track record in developing a centralized Copyright and Licensing group, maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders, and advocating for guidelines on traditional knowledge and cultural expressions. Prior experience includes serving as a Copyright Officer at the National Gallery of Canada and working in the box office at the National Arts Centre. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Photography from Mount Allison University and has educational training from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
