Carol Barbone

Carol Barbone is a seasoned professional in stakeholder engagement and decommissioning, currently serving as a Stakeholder Engagement Consultant at Spirit Energy. With extensive experience in regulatory relations and project management, Carol has held key positions including Stakeholder Relations Manager for Fairfield Energy and Shell/BG Group, in addition to consulting roles at Dana Petroleum Limited and Canadian Natural Resources Limited. A member of the Decommissioning Leadership Group at Decom Mission, Carol plays a vital role in shaping strategic direction within the decommissioning sector. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science with Distinction in Environmental Partnership Management from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History with History from the University of Nottingham, complemented by various graduate school programs.
