Joel Metcalfe

Joel Metcalfe is an experienced engineer currently serving as an Exploitation Engineer in Training at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) since May 2024. Prior to this role, Joel held the position of Reservoir Services Engineer EIT at Sproule from July 2022 to April 2024 and was a Project Engineer EIT at Lanmark from February 2021 to July 2022, along with a brief stint in an earlier Project Engineer EIT role at Lanmark in early 2020. Joel started in the engineering field as a Field Engineering Summer Student at TC Energy in 2017. Educational qualifications include pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary, alongside a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Engineering Management from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering also from the University of Alberta.
