Juan Perez Licera

Juan Perez Licera, M.Sc., P.Eng. is a seasoned geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in designing and providing operational support for mine waste structures and pit walls in oil sands operations. Currently serving as the In-pit Dykes Engineer of Record at Canadian Natural Resources Limited since October 2023, Juan has previously held key geotechnical roles, including Lead Geotechnical Engineer at WSP and Geotechnical Design Engineer at CNRL. With a Master of Science in Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Juan's career spans multiple companies and projects across various countries. Expertise includes site investigation, stability assessments, risk evaluations, and quality assurance in construction.
