Bhaskar Sur is a highly experienced Senior Scientist in the Advanced Fuels & Reactor Physics Branch at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, with a tenure beginning in October 2015. Additionally, Bhaskar holds multiple leadership roles in the Safety & Security Science and Technology (S&T) area, including Program Director and Head of Directorate. Prior to joining Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Bhaskar worked at AECL for over two decades, where significant positions included Director of the Nuclear Science Division and Manager of various branches in applied physics and systems engineering. Bhaskar's early career included research roles at Queen's University, Berkeley Lab, and The Ohio State University, with a foundational education comprising a PhD in Physics from The Ohio State University and a Master's from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
